The Terziere Castello Tavern serves as the vibrant heart of the Terziere. Nestled in the basement of Palazzo della Corgna, surrounded by brick walls, tuff, armor, and drapery, it conjures the atmosphere of the Renaissance. The garden and cool interior spaces host one of the highlights of Pievese gastronomy during the days of the Palio and in late June, in honor of San Pietro. Every evening from 7:30 PM, the Tavern opens its doors to guests, offering the “specialties” of the castle, such as Gnocchi del Priore, pork morsels with saffron polenta, and grilled collagna with herbs. These dishes are complemented by local red wine and sweetened by San Rocco donuts, served with the “mysterious” Ippocrasso.
Then there is the after dinner!
In the spaces adjacent to the Tavern, the “Osteria” comes to life.
From 11 PM until late into the night, guests can enjoy a warm and lively atmosphere, featuring a variety of unique offerings, such as craft beer, San Sebastiano watermelon drink, Boia liquor and sangria. The night are further enlivened by live performances, ranging from bands and minstrels to DJs.
